Element Skateboards is a highly successful skateboard company based in Irvine, California. It is a subsidiary of Billabong international. The company was founded by Johnny Schilleriff in Atlanta, Georgia in 1992 under the name Underworld Element. Commonly known as U.E. or Underworld, the company began to grow and change pace. So did the company name. The decision was made to drop Underworld, and it became known simply as Element.

Element Skateboards adopted the principles of martial arts and the purities that were associated with it. They wanted to separate themselves as a company from their competition by making it a universal company that all people could personally identify with. They began to focus their attention on the future of the brand; what it represented and the way the world perceived it.

In an effort to shine a positive light on the global skateboarding community, Element Skateboards created the masterful Department of Elementology. With the idea of designing innovative and quality products that promote an environmentally-friendly skate culture, Element created programs such as Elemental Awareness and Element Endangered.

Complete Skateboards - What’s a deal?

Executive summary by Steve cave

complete Skateboard

complete Skateboard

If you’ve bought a complete skateboard lately, I mean a quality complete skateboard, you’ve noticed that they’re a little expensive nowadays. The way things are at the moment, any skateboard worth it’s salt is made either in the USA, or somewhere equivalent, from high grade woods, processed and laminated in a factory built JUST for skateboards, often by hand, by skaters, for skaters, with loads of pride. It’s a great system.

However, that system makes these high grade complete skateboards cost over $100 when their done. A “complete” skateboard is the deck, plus trucks, wheels, bearings, hardware, grip tape, and maybe some other extras. There are a couple of companies who make complete skateboards with lower cost significantly, but without also dropping the quality of their boards the same amount! You can find them by browsing in the internet.

Which is hard to pull off - most cheaper skateboards out there are junk. That’s it. They will give you or the person you buy them for a terrible skateboarding experience.
